Voices for Reconciliation is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious group of young British Sri Lankans that facilitates dialogue workshops and promotes discussion on reconciliation within and across Sri Lanka’s diverse communities, civil society and the political sphere. Through island-wide visits, its members seek to build relationships, exchange knowledge and gain understanding of Sri Lanka’s post-war context. I met VfR Nikini Jayatunga when we were both participants in Write To Reconcile, a reconciliatory writing workshop facilitated by award-winning author Shyam Selvadurai.
Nikini very kindly offered to feature Building Bridges on the VfR blog, and my guest post is now up! You can read it here.
the concept of building bridges is very relevant in post war situations i.e in rwanda or liberai where people from the same country fought and butchered each other
